But Who’s Buying 25th Anniversary Edition. I can barely fucking hear him. This album may not sit too well with Thrash fans, but fans of Traditional 80s Metal will like this. Make no mistake, however, we still got plenty of amazing guitar solos from Megadeth in the 90s. I would recommend this album to anybody that likes heavy metal, and thrash metal, or just to anybody who likes metal in general.

20 Years Ago: Megadeth Treads Water With ‘Youthanasia’
I think some die hard thrash fans can enjoy this album too. But for those who do appreciate his efforts, well, Youthanasia will not disappoint. The riffing is far more simpler than anything else they’ve ever did.
I youthxnasia it’s kinda fun, but definitely stands out some. This album is by no means a classic and it’s not as good as its predecessor Countdown to Extinction but it does have a number of songs which can be deemed as classics. In conclusion, I highly do not recommend this album.
There’s a problem loading this menu right now. This is not a thrash album by any means, but I’m not complaining.
Megadeth – Youthanasia – Music
That’s the only gripe I have about it. His efforts on Youthanasia will do nothing to change your mind.
To me it can only be called a Megadeth album. Talking about the recording process, Mustaine said that Youthanasia was written solely in the studio. In comparison, Megadeth’s two “grey albums” lack a lot of their force and the majority of their staying power. The latter is my personal favorite for that amazing chorus, in the past 12 years I’ve never been able to get it out of my head, even after not listening to it for more than a year. My favorites are Elysian Fields and Victory.
It’s a solid and good album but its missing that one thing that will make it special. Killing Is My Business One of the most enjoyable parts of older albums was the technical shredding that Mustaine and Co. This album is horrible.
Megadeth – Youthanasia – Reviews – Encyclopaedia Metallum: The Metal Archives
What other thrash band, by anyone, has come close to the godliness of that album? However, it does continue the progression that began on Countdown started in The shredding, head-spinning solos are still there and so are the aggressive guitar riffs.
If you do plan to buy a copy of “Youthanasia,” try to seek out the reissue. Youthanasia, therefore is the next stage in the hard rock-influenced direction the band was taking. Countdown to Extinction took them away from their thrash metal roots in pursuit of a more accessible sound. The track also appears, even if unintentionally, to signify an end of a youthanasi in Megadeth’s history. They wrote that the record was musically diverse, from the “slow-tempo acoustic lines” of “A Tout le Monde” to the “breakneck riffing” of “Train of Consequences” and “Family Tree”.
So Youthanasua, So Good But the songwriting is still there! Victory’s riffy structure represents the build of youthanasoa of the album’s songs, and even detractors of the album should find it interesting. Share your thoughts with other customers.

The writing is still very strong with subjects which range from drug and gambling addiction to a phenomenally well written song about someone’s imminent death. So Far, So Youthanwsia Top Reviews Most recent Top Reviews. That’s before we even make it to the bridge.
Many fans see this effort as the kickoff to a long-lasting downward spiral for Megadeth.
